As the tenth anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, approaches, it seems like a good time to reflect on that day and how it impacted us all – in the short term and now in the longer term, for better or worse. Please post your thoughts, stories, memories, etc., in the form of a comment to share with the world! The goal is to create a kind of collective oral history (or the 21st century equivalent).
Of course we want to keep this respectful, so here are the guidelines:
– Comments won’t appear until a moderator has reviewed them for basic appropriateness. Given the topic, strong emotions are expected, but posts including hate speech, inflammatory comments, or other unsuitable content will not be approved.
– Remember that these comments will be seen by the general public, so please consider whether you want to include your name or any personal details that may let people recognize you. Anonymous posts or those using an alias are fine.
– If you would like to submit photographs, artwork, video, or any other type of content, please email them to “memoriesofseptember11 [at] gmail.com” and please specify what identifying information you would like included.
